The Covid-19 outbreak has hit the western side pretty bad and now it’s announce that the McDonald’s will be shutting down all its restaurants in the United Kingdom and Ireland by 7pm on Monday, March 23 as a measurement to protect the well-being and safety of employees and customers.
McDonald’s has release a statement yesterday (22 March) explaining that all the restaurants would be closing in a bid to help reduce the spreading of coronavirus.
The fast food chain said: “We have taken the difficult decision to close all McDonald’s restaurants in the UK and Ireland by 7pm on Monday 23 March at the latest.This is not a decision we are taking lightly, but one made with the well-being and safety of our employees in mind as well as in the best interests of our customers. We will work with local community groups to responsibly distribute food and drink from our restaurants in the coming days. Thank you to all our brilliant employees for their hard work during this incredibly challenging time. We look forward to seeing you all again as soon as it is safe for us to reopen.”
There are people who are crazy enough where on the day after McDonald’s announced it would be temporarily closing all the UK and Ireland restaurants, people have been joining huge queues in a bid to get their last taste for the foreseeable future.
