McDonald’s Singapore has released a new commercial that reunites Malaysian Muslims who are working over here and cannot cross the border to celebrate Ramadan with their loved ones in Malaysia. The commercial begins with Samsuri, a Malaysian Muslim who has been stuck working in Singapore for over a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic as McDonald’s delivery rider.

Samsuri, explains that Ramadan is very different from the past where he will be celebrating it alone since his family members of seven siblings, a wife, and a daughter are in Malaysia. Where he has a close friend with him who is also in the same situation as him. In this video, there are also featuring a couple of other Malaysian, Rozaini and Anas who are working in Singapore longer than Samsuri and three months here feels like three years and they would just want to go back to Malaysia and hug their family.

In the video comments, most of the netizens commented that were sympathetic towards these separated families and express how the video makes them all emotional and cry.
