MBO Cinema Might be Closing Down After All Due to Covid-19
On the earlier notice about MBO cinema will be temporarily closing down due to the pandemic issue which somehow on The Edge Markets today, 15 October has reported that MCAT Box Office Sdn Bdh is currently going through voluntary liquidation because the company has been facing cash flow problems, which this process if liquidation will involve the company closing its business and selling off its assets to repay creditors.
According to MBO Cinema Chief operating officer, Cheah Chun Wai mentioned that the industry has suffered a 55% drop in sales during the first 3 months of the pandemic and there was around RM2 million of loss daily.
