Man Who Slashed Stray Dog To Death Fined RM 7,000 For Animal Cruelty
With the recent a lot of unsolved animal cruelty cases in Malaysia, but thanks to the technologies and also Malaysian who are more caring about animal cruelty now. A man was fined rm7,000 and two months jail for cruelty on the animal after slashing a female dog with a machete to death.
The 52-year-old man pleaded guilty to the charge after causing death and pain to the dog. The incident happens behind a workshop at Jalan Miri, Jinjang Utara between 4-5th January last year. The charge originally married a maximum fine of RM100,000 or imprisonment up to 3 years or both under the Section 29(1)(e) of the Animal Welfare Act. But the judge agreed with the hearing about submissions both parties and taking account of the plea bargain by the accused, defense, and prosecutor.
