Man Warns other Of Fake Maybank2u Website after Getting Scammed of RM3,600
The fake website and real one is too similiar
A Malaysian has shared his experience after he’s getting scammed on a fake Maybank2u website on social media, to warn others about the fake website that looks too close to the real website. Azizul Osman, said he open his laptop and typed Maybank into Google then clicked on the first search without thinking twice which he didn’t not realize that the website he clicked was a phishing website.

As the page looked exactly the same as the original website, complete with the same background images, fonts, wording and login bar where he proceeds with his username and password but later a Transaction Authorization Code (TAC) were sent to his phone sms and without thinking twice about it, he keyed it into the website, and finally he realized something was wrong.
He was shocked with his mistaken and he didn’t know what to do at that time and immediately contacting Maybank, he told that his account had just authorized a RM3,600 transfer to an online shopping site which he didn’t agree. With the help from the bank officer. Azizul quickly blocked all autorotation for the transaction through his Maybank2u account and credit cards but unfortunately, the damage has been done as his money could not be recovered because it was transferred to a third party website.
