Man in S’pore Caught having an Affair with a Young Maid and Even Had a Baby
A man who is a China National who has moved into Singapore with his girlfriend since 10 years ago, in which are not legally married yet where the couple as a daughter together and has been living in the same residence for many years. However, due to their business schedules, the couple decided to hire a main in 2017 to look after their child which the maid was just 25 years old then.
As the time goes, eventually one day their daughter somehow telling her mother that “Daddy Hug Kakak” which brings out some suspicious point, and as she confronted her boyfriend, he didn’t admit it and replying that their daughter is talking nonsense. However, the suspicious point grew larger as their daughter school was just 10 minutes away by foot, her boyfriend often insists on driving them there and send the maid home right after. So she decides to send the maid away earlier than her contracted final date.
However, the boyfriend then started to behave differently where he no longer come home to cook for her and their daughter and one day she was shocked to discover that her boyfriend phone is still contacting with the maid as suppose the maid should have returned back to Indonesia. Plus, she even found out that the maid has given birth to a child with her boyfriend in May 2020.
As furious as she could go, she went on confronting her boyfriend again but he denied it and currently he rented a place elsewhere and he only comes back to visit their daughter once a while and she tries to bring the matter to the police but the officer mentioned that they can’t take any action as she has a valid working permit. She was then trying to refer to Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower however, they couldn’t help out as she is not the employer of the maid but the Ministry later told her that the maid can be charged under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act where a person with a working permit is not allowed to get pregnant and deliver a child in Singapore unless they are married to a Singaporean or Permanent resident, where if convicted, the maid could face up to SGD10,000 (about RM30,500) in fine, 12 months’ jail, or both.
