Man in Cheras Fined RM10k for Violating SOP on a Bukit Jalil Restaurant Confirmed by Police

Earlier yesterday, an individual was issued the compound of RM10,000 for violating the standard operation procedures (SOPs) on Thursday, 11 March. He was issued the hefty punishment due to the individual did not scan the MySejahtera app on the registration book prepared and the compound of RM10,000 was issued on those who violated the SOP in accordance to the Emergency Ordinance.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador mentioned that they will enforce the RM10,000 penalty on repeat, stubborn offenders and will not use it as a blanket penalty where the fines of all SOPs related breaches issued on the summons is just a part of the police’s duty to note the maximum compound offered for such offense and the ultimate decision of the fine will be decided by the district health officer at their respective district health offices.
The fine which was issued out by ACP Mohamed Mokhsein, on the person who didn’t register his details at a restaurant in Bukit Jalil. So let us all take note seriously on this new fine rules and make sure that all of us are following the rules of SOP strictly.
