This would be a special announcement to those frequent flyers
Malaysian Airlines Baggage Weight Limit is 20KG instead of 30KG
This will be effective from 1st August onwards where this would be downgrade from previously 30KG to now the new 20KG weight baggage limit.
As according to The China Press, this is a move for the Malaysian Airlines to cope up the increase of the international fuel price where instead of increasing the ticket price, they’ve decrease the baggage weight instead.
Nothing has changed where the passenger can still enjoy the existing privilege where the passenger are allow to carry 7KG of hand carry whilst Business Class passengers are allowed two (2) pieces of cabin baggage weighing a total of 14 kg. For all class travels, each cabin bag must not exceed the following dimensions: L36cm+W23cm+H56cm.
The passenger will be served with the onboard meals but the only difference that they are limit to 20KG baggage instead of 30KG (as previously)
