Malaysia Unveil Our Own Electrical Vehicle (EV) Which is made by Local Engineer MyKar

With more and more people are moving forward with Electrical Vehicles (EV) where a local start-up, Ev Innovations has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and loT Institute (MaRii) as well as Ingress Corporation Berhad to further developed the project into a roadworthy vehicle. The current prototype of the car is a modified version of Honda Jazz which was unveiled recently at Sepang Circuit.
The goal of this car is to be affordable, practical, and easy to suit the current Malaysian automotive ecosystem. Currently, they are still open for partnership and the project started in January 2019 and the vehicle made its first public appearance at the Kuala Lumpur Engineering Science Fair last November. These are the specs for the car:
- Weight: 900kg
- Motors: 12kW
- Battery pack: 10 kWh, 32 China Aviation Lithium Battery (CALB) lithium-ion phosphate (LiFePO4)
- Energy consumption: 6.6 kWh per 100 km
- Charging time: 3 hours
- Max speed: 140 km/h
