Malaysia’ Might Return to MCO-Style Lockdown If Daily Cases Keeps On Spiking
With the recent spiking cases of the Covid-19, where it is topping over 2,000 of new cases daily. As authority are serious on considering a lockdown on the early phase to control the Covid-19 from spreading. As the Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham has even sounded the alarm on the state of Covid-19 in the country has reached a point of out of control soon which is putting the stress on healthcare frontline.
With Malaysia registered a highest record of 2,593 cases where it has 24,347 active cases. With these high numbers, the healthcare system is struggling to cope up with the number of patients. As currently the top health official said that the country need a circuit breaker or the government need to implement a more targeted version to bring down the number of cases.
While if reinstating the MCO will also mean a complete ban on all religious and social gathering again including prayer congregations, wedding, kenduris, sports events and annual festivals.
