New Year with new good changes. It’s indeed a start of a good new year. On the 31st December, Prasarana Group has announce that they would double loop operation to be implemented on the LRT’s Kelana Jaya line during peak hours starting 2nd January 2019.
As per the New Straits Time, this operation will involve LRT trains from Gombak headed towards Putra Heights and turning back at the Ara Damansara station between 7am and 9am daily from Monday to Friday. So you can expect more trains . with lesser waiting time!
Rapid Rail chief operating officer Khairani Mohamed was quoted as saying:
Using the double loop, every third train from Gombak will turn around at Ara Damansara with a total of seven trains during the period. Passengers heading to Putra Heights will have to disembark at the Ara Damansara station and wait for the next train.
With this operation, the Rapid Rail chief hope that it will reduce the waiting times, as train intervals would be 90 seconds instead of the current 180 seconds
As per The Star, this is implemented on the Kelana Jaya LRT line because this royte was the busiest in the Klang Valley with 290,000 passengers daily and because of the high density at stations like Kelana Jaya, Universiti, Gombak and Ara Damansara
Looks like a really good news for us consumer especially for those
