KL Newly Added Maju Infection Cluster Group With 1 Local Woman Diagnosed Positive
The Director of Health of Malaysia, Dr. Tan Sri Noor, announced today that Malaysia has added another infection group, Kluster Maju, in the Titiwangsa district.
This infection group was first diagnosed with 2 non-Malaysian citizens on August 16, and then confirmed today by a 42-year-old Malaysian woman. Therefore, it is believed that this infection group is related to the Sri Rampai chain Ali Maju, which reported 2 confirmed cases earlier. There have been 3 confirmed cases.
Noor pointed out that there were 3 new confirmed cases in Kuala Lumpur, one of which was from the Maju infection group, and the other two were imported cases from abroad; the two cases in Selangor were all imported from abroad. In addition, there is one new case in Sarawak. It was an expatriate who was tested before returning to the country and found that he was diagnosed with infection; Kedah added three new cases from live infected groups.
