Who would image that KL-Singapore is WORLD’s Busiest International Route!
Maybe it’s because Malaysia and Singapore are inseparable to begin with.
As according to a report by OAG Aviation Worldwide Ltd, our countries (some of the smallest on earth!) have the busiest international route.
Based on their report, planes has made 30,537 trips between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in the 12 months to February, which equivalent of 84 flights a day!
Right behind KL-Singapore route, it’s reported that HK-Taipei is the second busiest international routes and Jakarta-Singapore on the third place.
If you look closely, the top 20 busiest route is topped by the flight by Asia
Meanwhile for passenger number in the 12 months period is topped by the below sequence.
- Hong Kong-Taipei: 6.5 million people
- Jakarta-Singapore: 4.7 million people
- Kuala Lumpur-Singapore: 4 million people
Believe it or not, many airlines company see Asia as the world’s fastest-growing travel market (report don’t lie). Meanwhile, for non Asia the highest-ranking route outside the region running between New York and Toronto. That route had 16,956 flights. The busiest route for Europe was Dublin-London Heathrow which ranked 14th on the list with 14,390 flights.
