KL NIghtclub was Fined RM470,000 worth of Fines On the Last Day Of CMCO

On 6 May, authorities have raised a nightclub in Kuala Lumpur where a total of RM470,000 worth of fines were issued and 500 bottles of alcohol amounting to a total of RM400,000 worth of liquor was seized also. 35 police officers raided the premises located near Jalan Kia Peng. The owner of the entertainment center and a total of 90 individuals, including 51 men and 39 women, were fined for violating standard operating procedures (SOP) on the last day of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
The Kuala Lumpur Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) Chief Datuk Azman Ayob said that the 500 bottles of liquor worth RM400,000 were seized to assist in the investigation and the estimated compounds issued to the owner of the premises on repeated offence and all visitors at the entertainment centre is worth RM47,000.
The case is now being investigated under Section 31 of the Prevention of Infectious Diseases Control Regulations (Regulation 18 PU (A) 97/2021, the Customs Act 1976 and Section 76 of the Excise Act 1976.
