Khairy: AstraZeneca Vaccine Will be Given on First Come, First Served Basis

The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has announced that the government is opening up an appointment system to allow adults aged 18 and above to get the AstraZeneca vaccine on a first-come, first-served basis starting with Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. As the government doesn’t want to waste the vaccine which is proven to be safe and effective but at the same time, Khairy state that they understand that there are certain concerns among the public on the AstraZeneca vaccine. Khairy also added that AstraZeneca will not be used on mainstream immunisation programme but only offer the vaccine at special PPVs only.
