Not long ago, government has introduced a new store called Kedai Rakyat 1 Malaysia (KR1M) but it was then closed down.
Good news as the KR1M 2.0 is now back
What was the reason of failure in the KR1M? Aaccording to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, most Malaysians prefer to buy products from famous brands compared to KR1M-branded ones and this leads to the closure of the KR1M 1.0

How cheap will the price be? Here is some example. 1kg packet of will be sold at the price of RM17.80, compared to the outside price of RM17.99. It’s cheaper by 19 cents, even not much but when you accumulate, it will be a lot!
Not just the Milo but there are four essential household items – flour, rice, cooking oil and sugar that is also being offer on store and it will be sold at a more competitive price at the KR1M 2.0
At this moment, there are 51 KR1M 2.0 stores are already operational, and the government’s goal is to have 3,000 outlets nationwide by 2021, says Najib
