For those who has their driving licence or road tax services suspended earlier due to the pandemic and mco period of time. Good news to all as, the Land Transport Bureau JPJ issued a notice stating that from now on, JPJ will reopen and update the private car road tax service. Therefore, if your personal driving licence LESEN MEMANDU MALAYSIA (LLM) or private car road tax LESEN KENDERAAN MOTOR (LKM) expires between February and March 31, you can start from April 1 to May 31. Update from time to time!
In addition, in order to avoid the risk of infection caused by crowds, the authorities will provide another 60-day relaxation period for those car owners whose driving licence and road tax expired from April to May. Therefore, if your driving licence and road tax are overdue between April 1st and May 31st, you need to update them between June 1st and July 31st!
Finally, owners who use overdue road taxes during this period must ensure that their private cars have effective auto insurance protection. If they meet the requirements of law enforcement agencies, they need to show a copy or electronic version of the auto insurance! I also remind everyone that when going to the relevant authorities to update the driving licence and road tax, you must bring a mask, maintain social distancing, and perform disinfection work at any time. Everyone is responsible for protesting the road!
