Japanese Government Plans to Boost Nation Birth rate by Spending RM77 Million on AI Matchmaking to Help People Find Love
According to Japan Today, Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga where the government of Japan has plans to allocated JPY 2 Billion (RM77 Million) to support local authorities in running matchmaking services which will involve the AI system in helping to match an individual with a wider and better range of potential suitors from factors such as hobbies and personal values.
The country’s fertility rate last year was 1.36 which is the world’s lowest and below the rate needed to maintain a population and Japan only saw around 865,000 babies born in 2019, the lowest since records began in 1899. Which their government is the worry that Japan will become extinct soon if continue like this in the future long run.
Therefore, hoping for the more newborn generation to help maintain better growth in this country is a very crucial thing for Japan now. Well, perhaps that is what happens when technology and working in the world’s top country is alike when everyone is really just so focus on working and doesn’t really matter what we call love or having a partner anymore.
