Japanese manufacturer Ishiya has released a new limited edition of their most popular product, Shiroi Koibito, a European styled cookie made up from a layer of white chocolate between two square cookies where this new product are white chocolate and ice-cream sandwich made up of two layers of butter cookies and a slab of white chocolate flavored ice-cream in the middle.
According to Ishiya, the drinks and ice-cream sandwiches are made from the same ingredient which will taste very similar to the well known cookies. However, this Shiroi Koibito is only available in Japan and the drinks will go on shelves on 2nd February while the ice-cream sandwich will be available on conveniences stores on 1st February.
While Ishiya has released their Shiroi Koibito chocolate drink in the past and this is their first time working with another company to release a new item. The latest collaboration with milk and sweets company Morinaga Milk Industry with the new limited edition item are to commemorate the 45th anniversay of the release of Shiroi Koibito cookies. And Morinaga Milk Industry said to the news that they hope all consumer can continue to enjoy a taste which will be similar like travelling in Hokkaido even if they are currently spending most of their time indoor at home or workplaces amid of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
