If you are bored and sian with the malls in Klang valley then we have good news for you as you can look forward to more than 10 new malls coming to the Klang Valley over the next few months!
As according to The Star, Knight Frank’s Real Estate Highlights has revealed that there would be upcoming of 11 malls which are expected to complete very soon. The biggest would be Empire City Damansara Mall and followed by Tropicana Gardens and Central Plaza @ i-City.
If you’re wondering how how much space we’re talking about here for the 11 new mall?
The answer is about 6.58mil sq ft of retail space will be made available in the second half of this year which is is equivalent to about 114 football fields!

With more and more mall coming up meaning there would be more pressure for occupancy and some mall might be left empty if it’s not managed properly. Might be good news for us consumer as we have more places to visist for air cond!
So what’s the our view on more and more mall coming up. We think that there is too many mall already and it’s actually oversupply.
