Is woman population in Malaysia more than men? What’s the Malay/Chinese/India percentage?
Recently the The Department of Statistics has released the official figure of Malaysia’s population on 31 July which Malaysia is estimated to have 32.4 million Malaysians by this year, which marking an increased growth rate of 1.1 per cent (as according to NST).
For the question of is men more than woman in Malaysia? The surprise statistics shows that it’s not the case, where it has revealed that male Malaysians outnumber females by one million.
“The male population stands at 16.7 million, while the female population is at 15.7 million. The sex ratio remains at 107 males per 100 females,” chief statistician of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said in a statement.
Meanwhile, for the race statistics, Bumiputeras (Malays and indigenous communities) has a 69.1 per cent of Malaysia’s total population. Meanwhile for Chinese population ratio takes 23% and India make up to 6.9%
For the most popular state in Malaysia, the statistic shows that many favor Selangor where Selangor makes up of 20% of Malaysia’s population and least populated in Labuan and Putarjaya where it’s only 0.3% population
For age wise, the aged 14 and below takes up the number of 23.8%, the aged between 15 to 64 takes up 69.7% and the population above 65 and above is taking smaller number of 6.5%
Based on this stats, looks like the guys need to try harder in finding their soulmates!
