Good news as the government will be introducing the hospitalization subsidy assistant in 2019 but there is one condition where this is meant for the B40 income classification category, which is the lower income category people.
Earlier in the budget 2019, the healthcare coverage under the B40 Health Protection Fund only covers 4 critical major illness and it will extended to cover 36 major critical illnesses instead of four announced earlier by our Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
The free protection coverage against the 36 critical illnesses during hospitalisation cover will be set at RM50 per day or RM700 per annum.
As according to The Star, this coverage will be effective Jan 1 next year, would provide protection for the B40 group with up to 14 days of hospitalisation benefits
This would definetly a good news for those B40 income classification as it would be easing their financial especially for those who are being hospitalised.
