Things have definitely change 360 degree from back then to now.
You might now able to turn your gaming hobby into a full time-job as the government is finally seeing that there is a good future in digital gaming or e-sports.
Based on the report by the New Straits Times, the digital gaming industry will soon be adopted in our educational systems as a new scope to “create a conducive digital ecosystem.”
MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) will be soon visiting school and educating students on what’s the gaming industry’s potential in creating job opportunities and boost the economy.
MDEC chief executive officer Datuk Yasmin Mahmood has said in the digital age, the younger generations could no longer depend on the “traditional jobs” like their parents.
We do really agree to thiss as the younger generation tend to seek for better challenges!
He also said “MDEC has helped established 54 gaming companies, pioneered by youths, over the past three years to assist the young generation in realising their passion and dream”
