Famous Food Paradise in Gurney Drive Was Seens Left Desserted on Weekdays
Penang which is famous for its food havens where the food paradise in Gurney Drive now has a totally new look where the whole street seems deserted now on weekdays due to the current pandemic. A rojak stall owner, Tan Swee Hoe, 58 who has been running his business for more than 40 years mentioned that this is the first time that he practically won’t be seeing any customer during weekdays.
While a lot of stall owners are afraid to open because of the spike cases which are happening at the moment while others just close the stall temporarily due to unable to sustain the business. While the Medan Renong Foodcourt also faces the same incident where just 2 stalls were operating out of 10 stalls in each row.
As a lot of hawkers mentioned that the business is already bad but after the CMCO started, it just got even worse.
