Famous Coldplay Sponsor 2nd Vessel That Can Clean the Polluted River in Malaysia

A vessel machines which were built by the Dutch non-profit organisation The Ocean Cleanup which are vital to cleaning up the ocean and river in the world so that the water can be less polluted. With the first unit is already in Malaysia, now the second Interceptor will be deployed to Malaysia after the first one and will be placed in the Klang River which is sponsored by Coldplay band.
The latest Interceptor is locally built in partnership with Finnish firm, Konecranes at their MHE-Demag facility in Klang and it can catch up to 100 tonnes of trash especially plastics daily.

The Ocean Cleanup founder and chief executive officer, Boyan Slat said that Malaysia is the first to receive the Interceptor 005 which is the first of two produced for the series production and also the first of the 3rd generation design to tackle the world’s 1,000 most polluted rivers worldwide. The Interceptor 005, which is also known as Neon Moon will be completed in mid 2021.
Other than Malaysia, the Interceptor vessels are currently being used in Indonesia and the Dominican Republic too.
