Folks staying in Penang are in great luck where now Esplanade Penang is adorned with beautiful and creative structures related to iconic landmarks from all over the world where these sculptures mimic iconic landmarks and monumental buildings with each representing a country. According to State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeok Soon Hin, these activities are crucial to help boost domestic tourism and to sustain the industry in Penang.
You can find sculptures that light up during the night like Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China and more. Good news, we heard Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow is expected to officiate the launching ceremony on April 27!
