Dig Rescue Gets RM50 Donation From An Abang Who Sees She Needed Help
A local Malaysian, known as Mandy Yeap which she has been rescuing strays for five years, and something special which close to bringing tears to her when something happens after she just brought some recently rescued strays to see a veterinarian in Puchong. While she was on her way to her friend’s house in Serdang, she realized that those little pets look thirsty after the clinic visit.
Therefore, she decided to stop at a petrol station and get some after because she concerts those puppies might get suffered from heatstroke. As she was coming out to the toilet with water in a styrofoam box which was used earlier to put her breakfast, a Malay guy sees her having trouble opening her car door and he offers help to her. After that, the abang which she called him in her Facebook post asked her if there’s anything wrong after noticing some puppies in the passenger seat.
Mandy then told him that she just recently recut it off the streets and was worried that they might suffer from not having enough water to drink and was thirsty. The abang then replied that you are a really good person, the heavens will definitely be watching over you and he went off to the convenience store.
As she was about to leave, the abang suddenly made his way again towards her and handed her an RM50 note and saying these are for the doggy to see the doctor. She at first declined the money however she couldn’t refuse after he insisted that the money was not for her but for the good fo the dog and some of their medical expenses.
“He said even though it was not much, he wanted to do some charity for the dog,” she wrote on her personal account. “I swear at that point I wanted to cry as this was the first time someone actually gave me money in my years of rescuing strays.” She was even more surprised when she wanted to thank him by asking his name but was refused.
The abang simply said, “God knows” and went back to his car.
Mandy Facebook post has received over 8,700 reactions and even shared over 2,900 times since it was posted on Monday, 3 Aug. All netizens showed appreciation to both and many highlighted that it was an exceptionally kind deed by the Abang consider the general taboo surrounding dogs in our Muslim culture.
