The consumer protection regulator, procon_SP has fined APPLE due to a misleading advertising, selling a device without the charger and unfair terms. While Apple are so far failed to respond when asked if the iPhone 12 price was actually reduced after taking away the charger. And the iPhone 12 Pro is listed on the Apple website for RM 4,900 – RM 5,100 in Malaysia.
Which earlier Apple announced on October 2020 that they would not be including the charger or Lightning EarPods with its new iPhone 12 series and it was due to the environmental reason for the move saying that with the new smaller and lighter packaging, it will allow the lower usage of material and wastage, plus the company will consume less raw material without the charger.
So the question now is, did iPhone 12 series price were actually included in the charger in full price even with a cheaper packaging, courier shipment cost and less material?
