Deaf GrabFood Rider Who Got Lost and Leaving Customer Silent Calls Get Rewarded RM5k
Recently, a deaf GrabFood rider who has a speech disability took the internet by storm after he had called a customer numerous times to get her to check the in-application chat as he was lost and he didn’t give up until she finally got her food. The customer Bonda Nor felt bad as she has got angry and thinking the rider was leaving her silent call as a joke and only to find out that the rider’s circumstances later.
After leaving him with a rm10 tips she felt the rider deserved a better and decided to meet up with him and a couple of the rider’s co-workers who helped to translate and give him a proper thank you too. She even mentioned that although she has given him a tip through the GrabPay system, there was unrest in her heart and she felt guilty for making a wrong assumption at him.
Hence, she wrote a post in the experience and called Grab to try and track the rider down and soon later she received a Facebook message from a colleague of the disable rider and she later requested if she and her husband can meet up with the grab food rider and when they meet up, Rizuam the rider has his leg looked weak and it turns out that he had recently got into an accident but he still went to work from 10am to 10pm and riders shared how hard-working disabled riders are in Terengganu.
Touched by their storeis, she handed him RM5,000 and a few of her book as a thank you too.
