CMCO: Updates Guide On What Can and Can’t on New CMCO
As the new CMCO has just announced a few days ago, where the latest new-daily infections are stuck at 4 digit figure, our government has decided to extend the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) to all Peninsular Malaysia stages except the Kelantan, Pahang, and Perlis from 9th November to 6 December.
So in case if you wonder what are the rules applying now, here is some newest guide to the latest CMCO:
Affected State:
- Selangor
- Kedah
- Penang
- Perak
- Negeri Sembilan
- Melaka
- Johor
- Terengganu
- Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur
- Federal Territory of Putrajaya
- Sabah
Travel Restriction
- Inter-state and inter-district are strictly not allowed (only with PDRM letter are allowed)
- 2 individuals from one household allowed to leave home for buying groceries or basic amenities
- Only 2 individuals from the same household are allowed inside the car
- High-risk categories such as senior citizen and children are not advised on the public area
Exceptional Travel Restriction
- For individuals traveling through CMCO areas to reach their destination, PDRM approval is needed.
- Any movement to EMCO areas must follow the SOPs of EMCO.
- Vehicles that transport goods and services are allowed.
- Emergency cases and accidents that require hospital treatment.
- Medical appointments (must carry appointment details).
- Activities concerning funeral management.
- Movement via airplanes is allowed but with PDRM approval.
Business Operating hour
- Government hospital allowed to operate for 24 hour
- Pharmacies, 8am – 11pm
- Markets, Restaurant, shopping mall and laundries 6am – 10pm
- Pasar Harian (Daily Markets) are allowed to operate from 6am to 2pm.
- Pasar Borong (Wholesale Markets) are allowed to operate from 12pm until 5pm.
- Pasar Tani (Wet Markets) are allowed to operate from 6am to 12pm.
- Pasar Malam (Night Markets) are allowed to operate from 4pm to 10pm.
- Petrol stations are allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm. For petrol stations on highways, they are allowed to operate for 24 hours.
Allowed Sports and Recreational Activities
- Indoor or outdoor sports which don’t involve physical contacts such as jogging, cycling, aerobics, hiking, fishing, and others
- All commercial football field, gymnasium, futsal, and badminton to operate from 6am – 10pm (with a limited person)
Religious Activities
- Mosque and Mosullas are allowed with a limited attendee
- Non-Muslim worship places with limited attendees
- Wedding ceremonies with 30 limit of individuals in the vicinity
