CMCO: No more Limit on Pax Per Table For Dine-In, However Social Distancing Still Active
Great news to all Malaysian as Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) has announced that all area and states which are still undergoing CMCO will no longer have the limit when it comes to dine-in tables so means we are allowed to dine back as usual in the old days. However, the 1meter distancing is still required between each dine-in customer will be enforced.
While for Sabah, each table is only allowed to have half of the total number per pax table. This means a 4 table person can only be allowed to have 2 people to sit on the table. Meanwhile, all eateries, food stalls, hawker stalls, supermarkets, and shopping malls, convenience stalls are allowed to operate from 6 am till 12 am-midnight.
However, we find this rule is a bit confusing again as if 1 meter is still there, which means it is safer to just follow back the rules of 4 person table and only 4 people to occupy the table as sometimes we will get used to the old habit of squeezing in the whole family of 5 into a table of 4. Which we believe might get you in trouble as there isn’t a 1m distancing there. So perhaps we should monitor a day or two for this new rules to applied first.
