Chinese Uncle In Kuala Selangor Who Has Been Making Muslim Tombstone For 40 Years
For over 40 years, this uncle Kuah Leong Chuan has been making the granite tombstone for Muslim clients. He is located at Kuala Selangor and used the traditional method of carving tombstone out of granite block by hand.
This 64 years old hand paint Jawi calligraphy and Quranic verses on the tombstone are all traditional ways of doing this tombstone which includes the deceased’s name, birth date, and death date. Kuah might be one of the last granite tombstone makers in the country because he is the fifth generation of this and the current tombstone is having different more advanced methods now.
