CERDIK Initiative Agreed That 150,000 Laptops Be Delivered by September

With the frequent question asked by the opposition where the promised 150,000 laptops and tablets under the CERDIK initiative announced in the 2021 budget where it has finally been answered there the Yayasan Hasanah, said that 13,000 of them have already distributed to state education departments by government-linked companies (GLCs) and government-linked investment companies (GLICs). Currently, over 1,000 students have received their devices so far.
CERDIK also targeting at least 50,000 students to received their devices by end of May and with the balance of 100,000 devices expected to be distributed by the end-September 2021. Among the initiative’s corporate donors include Khazanah Nasional Bhd, Yayasan Petronas, Permodalan Nasional Bhd, the Employees Provident Fund and Lembaga Tabung Haji.
