All ‘Disney Channel’ Channels On Astro Will Be Closed From This December 31
According to a source, Astro Content Director Agnes Rozario said Disney had informed all its strategic partners in Southeast Asia that it would discontinue the Disney XD HD channel (Ch 612) on December 31, 2020, at 12 midnight. In addition, Disney Channel HD channels (Ch 614 HD / Ch 634) and Disney Junior HD (Ch 613) will also stop broadcasting on the Astro channel network on the same date and time.
“We would like to thank our customers for understanding the difficulties that have arisen,” he said. The channel only started in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines after two more years of launch on June 1, 2002. The main owner of this broadcast is Disney Channels Worldwide from Disney – ABC Television Group based in the United States and managed by The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia.
Most of the original programs were also actually aimed at teenagers aged 10 to 16 years. While the Disney Junior program is targeted at children aged 3 to 9 years. However, certain programs are also aimed at viewers of all ages.
