We all understand that all night clubs aren’t allowed to operate at the moment due to the pandemic and safety measurement by the government. However, we usually know that there will be some patrons or bar owner will secretly operate their business behind the close door.

But for this incident, it seems a bit weird as a wife she actually gets caught for breaching sop after she mentioned that she is following her husband to the night club because she is afraid that her husband is cheating behind her. The woman who is a mother of 4 sons aged between 4 – 16 told the authorities that she is keeping an eye on her husband and she also wanted to feel the feeling of visiting nightclub and her also afraid that her husband might have a girlfriend in the club.

Langkawi District Deputy Chief of Police, Deputy Superintendent Roszemi Mat Derus told that along with the 40-year-old couple, 27 other people were arrested for violating the RMCO. As of now, nightclubs are still not allowed to operate in Langkawi.

Six of the arrested people were found positive for methamphetamine and marijuana. All of them were detained according to Section 3 (7) of RMCO 2020 for disobeying the RMCO and compounded RM1,000 each. They were also found to have committed offenses in accordance with Regulation 11 (1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures in Local Infected Areas) Regulations (No. 7) 2020.
