63 SPM Students Fined For Taking Celebration To the Streets After Exam
Police has carried out a Special Ops (Exhaust Modification and monitoring of SPM candidates at Jalan Pantai Puteri and Dataran Klebang for about 5 hours from 3pm to 8pm and 63 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates in Melaka has landed in hot water after they were found celebrating their examination on the streets where the Melaka State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Hasan Basri Yahya told Sinar Harian that out of the total, 21 cases involved individuals who failed to display probationary licence plates, 17 cases involved incomplete vehicle component, and six people were fined for modification of exhaust.
He added that other offences include modification of vehicle components, failure to wear a helmet, as well as riding without a valid licence. Police also confiscated 14 motorcycles and some SPM candidates are fined are 18 years old and they are ready to patrol the targeted location before tracking down the group of student since 2019.
