As we head towards the new year, rejoice for those B40 group people (low income) as per of the Budget 2019, government will allocate RM5billion to assists these B40 groups of people
As according to the Malay Mail, under this new assistant from government, it is estimated around 4.1 million households will benefited from it.
If you’re wondering what is the benefits that from government for the B40, here is the lists out:
1. BSHR (Bantuan Sara Hidup Rakyat)
If you’re not aware of BSHR, then you would probably know them better as BR1M, as per our previous government. the household income of recipient must be lower than RM 3,000 then you will be eligible for RM400 and if you’re range is between RM3,001 to RM4,000 then you will receive RM300.
2. Fuel Subsidies
Good news on fuel where the Government will subsidise RON95 petrol for those driving cars with engine capacity of 1,500cc and under, and those with motorcycles with engine capacity of 125cc and under. The subsidy will be 30 sen per litre and capped at 100 litres a month for cars and 40 litres a month for motorcycle
3. Public Transport Monthly Pass
In 2019, the government will be introducing RM100 monthly public transport passes where you can ride unlimited Rapid transport such as LRT/MRT/Monorail/Rapid Bus. Good news is that you can start registering for this pass by December and enjoy this unlimited ride monthly pass
4. Health Care Plan
On the Budget 2019, the government has made a significant allocation for health services where they will increase to RM29bil from last year’s allocation of RM27bil. Government will introduce a National Health Protection Fund for the B40 group through a private insurance company. The would be a free coverage for four critical illnesses for up to RM8,000 and a maximum of 14 days replacement income. Patients can also be treated in hospital at the rate of RM50 a day, or RM700 a year.
