3yo Boy Dies After Left Alone in Kindergarten Principal’s Car For Around 5 Hours

With the hot weather lately, a horrible incident happens on 16 March, Tuesday. Where a 3-year-old boy die after being left in the kindergarten principal car in Taman Ria, Sungai Petani, Kedah. The incident where the principal has picked up the victim who was 3 year and 11 months old from his home at 7.45 am, then upon arriving in front of the kindergarten, a teacher then took the child who was in the front passenger seat and went straight into the kindergarten and the principal then continue to park her car outside the kindergarten.

Later around 12.15pm, when the principal wanted to send the victim back home but could find him in the classroom, then she asked the class teacher where the teacher told the principal that the victim was not present at school which made her run towards her car and found the victim were lying down and unconscious there. The principal then called an ambulance and performed CPR on the victim then the doctors confirmed his death.
The victim was sent to the Forensic Department of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar for an autopsy, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 31 (1) (a) of the Children Act 2001. The principal later were arrested to assist in the investigation. Her car was confiscated for further action.
