Taiping: 98 Motorcyclist Broke the Law and Police Request them to Push their Motorcycle 5Km for 1 Hour to Station
(Taiping 23rd) Taiping traffic police launched a “highway hooligans” ban on Rilai Road yesterday, issuing 134 tickets to riders who violated various traffic laws. Among them, 98 riders were ordered to push motorcycles about 5 kilometers away The Batu Kulao Police Station conducted an investigation, which took about an hour.
Taiping Police District Director Osman pointed out that the traffic police started the operation from 5 noon to 10 pm yesterday and inspected a total of 120 riders and 98 motorcycles. Among them, 42 motorcycles were confiscated because of violation of various traffic laws.
He said that the knights who received the ticket for violation of the law included 22 cases of not being registered, 25 cases of not having a driver’s license, 21 cases of not wearing a helmet, 24 cases of modified exhaust pipes and 22 cases of no rearview mirror.
He pointed out that the knights examined ranged from 13 to 20 years old and were all Malays.
“The rider who violated the law was then instructed to push the motorcycle to the Batu Kulao Police Station for further investigation, which took about an hour.”
