Haven’t even 1 week opening in big screen and Avenger Has Broken Box Office Record
The latest MCU Avengers: Infinity War has now broken another box office record where unlike DC, they are out to prove people wrong that uniting the biggest stars (and superheroes) is wrong.
Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War topped the box office this weekend with the biggest domestic opening weekend of all time, earning an estimated $250 million. The previous record was held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens (another Disney product), which enjoyed a $248 million domestic debut.
Even Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy has congratulated Marvel on Avengers: Infinity War on their achievement surpassing Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ opening-weekend US box office record.
Avengers: Infinity War, which saw an ensemble cast of the best of the Marvel Cinematic Universe unite against one its most exciting villains ever (guess you know who), smashed box office records during its opening weekend. The movie is already a huge financial triumph despite worries that it may fall short of box office expectations even with massive marketing efforts to ensure its success.
With Black Panther having broken so many box office records and it will be exciting to see just how far Infinity War will go, especially since it’s Marvel Studios 10th Anniversary. They’ve definitely proved they know how to throw a celebration, the only question now will be if they can continue the momentum.
