Sunshine Members’ 1-Day Sale Returns to Sunshine Square, Bayan Baru on 31 October 2026

Shopping enthusiasts in Penang have another reason to look forward to the end of October! Sunshine Retail Penang is bringing back its popular Sunshine Members’ 1-Day Sale on 31 October 2026, giving members a special opportunity to enjoy shopping perks, earn extra reward points and save on their purchases at Sunshine Square, Bayan Baru.

Running for just one day, from 9AM to 10PM, this shopping event is worth adding to the calendar for anyone who enjoys making their money go further. Whether shoppers are planning to stock up on everyday essentials, looking for a little retail therapy or simply hoping to enjoy a day out with family and friends, the event offers several member-exclusive benefits to explore.

What makes this sale particularly interesting is that the savings are not limited to a single offer. From a mystery free gift and a RM10 e-voucher to a RM15 instant rebate and triple reward points, there are several ways eligible shoppers can get more value from their purchases. There will also be a Halloween arts and crafts workshop, giving families another reason to visit.

Here is what shoppers should know before heading to Sunshine Square.

1. Enjoy a Full Day of Special Shopping Perks

The Sunshine Members’ 1-Day Sale is designed to give members a little extra during their shopping trip. Instead of relying on just one discount, shoppers can explore different promotions that may help them save money or receive additional rewards.

The event takes place on Saturday, 31 October 2026, making it a convenient opportunity for those who prefer to shop during the weekend. With trading hours from 9AM to 10PM, visitors can choose a time that fits their schedule, whether they prefer arriving early or visiting later in the day.

As the promotion lasts for one day only, shoppers should plan their visit ahead of time. Preparing a shopping list and checking the promotional terms before leaving home can help make the trip more worthwhile.

2. Receive a Mystery Free Gift with the Sunshine App

Who does not enjoy receiving something extra while shopping? During the sale, Sunshine is offering a mystery free gift to shoppers who show their Sunshine app.

The gift adds an element of surprise to the event, making the shopping experience a little more exciting. While the specific gift is not stated in the available announcement, eligible shoppers can look forward to finding out what is available when they visit.

To avoid missing out, shoppers should download the Sunshine app before heading to the venue and make sure they can access it when requested. It is also sensible to check with the store about the redemption process and any conditions that may apply, including whether gifts are available in limited quantities.

For regular Sunshine shoppers, having the app ready is a simple way to prepare for the promotion and take advantage of the advertised member benefits.

3. Earn 3X Sunshine Members’ Reward Points

Another highlight of the one-day sale is the opportunity to earn three times the usual members’ reward points, subject to the promotion’s terms and conditions.

Reward points can be an appealing benefit for people who shop at the same retailer regularly. Rather than receiving only the immediate value of a purchase, members can also accumulate points that may provide additional benefits under the retailer’s rewards programme.

For example, shoppers who are already planning to buy household supplies, groceries or other everyday necessities may find this promotion particularly attractive. Instead of making an extra trip just to participate, they can time their planned shopping around the sale and potentially earn more points on eligible purchases.

Before paying, members should check which purchases qualify for the triple-points offer and whether any exclusions or limits apply. It is also worth confirming how and when the bonus points will be credited.

4. Get a RM10 E-Voucher Exclusively for Sunshine App Users

App users will also have another offer to look forward to: a RM10 e-voucher exclusively for Sunshine app users.

For shoppers who regularly visit Sunshine Square, an e-voucher can provide a useful opportunity to reduce the cost of an eligible purchase. Although the announcement does not specify the minimum spending requirement or detailed redemption conditions, the offer is worth checking before completing a transaction.

Shoppers should open the Sunshine app ahead of their visit and look for the relevant voucher information. Check its validity, eligible products, minimum spend, redemption procedure and any restrictions stated by Sunshine.

It is always a good idea to understand the conditions before reaching the checkout counter. That way, shoppers can plan their purchases accordingly instead of discovering unexpected restrictions at the last minute.

For those who have not installed the app yet, this promotion provides another reason to consider joining Sunshine’s membership programme.

5. Enjoy RM15 Instant Rebate When Spending RM150 and Above

One of the clearest savings opportunities announced for the event is the RM15 instant rebate with a minimum spend of RM150.

This offer may appeal to shoppers who have several household essentials to purchase or who are planning a larger shopping trip. Rather than buying items separately on different days, eligible shoppers may be able to combine their planned purchases to meet the spending threshold and enjoy the advertised rebate.

For example, a qualifying RM150 purchase would receive a RM15 rebate, equivalent to 10% of that spending amount. The actual savings will depend on the applicable promotional conditions and how the rebate is applied.

However, there is no need to spend more than necessary just to qualify. The best approach is to prepare a list of items that are already needed, estimate the total cost and check which purchases are eligible.

Shoppers should also confirm whether the rebate can be combined with other promotions, vouchers or rewards. Terms and conditions may apply, so checking the official promotional materials before shopping is recommended.

6. Make Your Reward Points Go Further with Sunshine Point Knockdown

Sunshine is also highlighting its Point Knockdown feature during the one-day sale. This gives members another reason to check their available points and understand how they may be used towards eligible purchases.

For shoppers who have accumulated points through previous visits, this could be an opportunity to explore whether those points can help reduce their shopping expenses. It is particularly useful to review the programme before spending, as members may have rewards available that they have not yet considered using.

The exact redemption value, eligible purchases and applicable conditions should be checked through the Sunshine app or with the retailer. Shoppers should not assume that all points can be exchanged at the same rate or that every transaction qualifies.

A little preparation can make a difference. By reviewing the available rewards before arriving, members can decide whether to accumulate points for later or take advantage of any eligible redemption options during the sale.

7. Bring the Family for a Halloween Arts and Crafts Workshop

The shopping offers are not the only reason to visit Sunshine Square on 31 October. Visitors can also look forward to a Halloween Arts & Crafts Workshop at the Level 1 Atrium.

Taking place on Halloween itself, the activity offers families another way to make the most of their shopping trip. Children who enjoy creative activities may appreciate the opportunity to take part in a themed workshop, while parents can combine the visit with their shopping plans.

It can also be a nice alternative for families who want a simple weekend outing without planning a separate activity elsewhere.

The original announcement does not specify the workshop schedule, age requirements, registration process or participation fees. Families should therefore check the official promotional poster or contact Sunshine Retail Penang for further information before visiting, particularly if they are planning their trip around the activity.

With shopping promotions and a Halloween-themed workshop taking place on the same day, there is something different to look forward to beyond the usual retail experience.

8. Not a Sunshine Member Yet? Joining Is Free

Those who have not joined Sunshine’s membership programme can still prepare for the event by downloading the Sunshine app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and signing up.

According to the announcement, membership is free, making it easier for interested shoppers to explore the programme without paying a joining fee.

Signing up before the sale is a practical step, especially for those hoping to enjoy the app-exclusive e-voucher, mystery gift and members’ reward benefits. It also gives new members time to familiarise themselves with the app before arriving at the shopping centre.

As different offers may have their own eligibility requirements, new members should review the relevant terms and conditions carefully. It is also worth confirming whether registration must be completed before the sale begins to qualify for particular benefits.

Why Should You Visit the Sunshine Members’ 1-Day Sale?

The main attraction is the chance to enjoy several shopping benefits in one visit. Eligible members can look forward to triple reward points, a RM10 e-voucher for app users, a RM15 rebate with a qualifying RM150 spend, a mystery free gift and the Point Knockdown feature.

For regular shoppers, these offers may provide additional value on purchases they were already planning to make. Meanwhile, families can add the Halloween arts and crafts workshop to their itinerary and turn an ordinary shopping trip into a more enjoyable weekend outing.

The event’s one-day duration also makes advance planning important. Shoppers who prepare their lists, download the app and review the promotional conditions beforehand will be better placed to make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary spending.

Remember that the best bargain is one that genuinely suits your needs. Compare the available offers, check eligibility requirements and focus on purchases that fit your budget.
