KTM Berhad 10.10 OSEM OCTOBER Sale 2026: Enjoy 20% Off ETS Train Tickets

Planning a trip around Malaysia? Here is a good opportunity for travellers to save on train tickets with KTM Berhad’s 10.10 OSEM OCTOBER promotion. On 10 October 2026, travellers can enjoy a 20% discount on ETS train tickets, making it a little easier to plan their next holiday, family visit or weekend getaway without spending as much on transportation.

The promotion is particularly worth considering for anyone who prefers travelling by train rather than driving long distances. With rising travel expenses, finding ways to reduce transportation costs can make a noticeable difference to an overall trip budget. A discount on train tickets also leaves travellers with more money to spend on accommodation, meals, sightseeing and other activities at their destination.

However, there is one important detail to remember: promotional tickets are available for purchase only on 10 October 2026, starting at 12.15 am. Although the booking window is limited to one day, eligible journeys can take place from 10 October until 30 November 2026. Therefore, travellers should plan ahead and be ready to make their bookings before the promotional period closes.

Enjoy 20% Savings on ETS Train Tickets

The highlight of KTM Berhad’s 10.10 OSEM OCTOBER sale is the opportunity to receive a 20% discount on ETS train tickets. For people who regularly travel between cities, this promotion provides a chance to reduce the cost of getting from one destination to another.

ETS, or Electric Train Service, is a convenient option for travelling between selected destinations in Peninsular Malaysia. Instead of spending hours behind the steering wheel, dealing with traffic congestion or paying for petrol and tolls, passengers can sit back and enjoy the journey.

Whether travellers are planning to visit family, explore a new destination, attend an event or take a short break from their usual routine, discounted train tickets can make the trip more affordable.

For example, a ticket with an original price of RM100 would cost RM80 after a straightforward 20% discount, representing a saving of RM20. A ticket originally priced at RM150 would cost RM120, saving RM30. These figures are illustrations of the discount calculation rather than confirmed ticket prices, and actual savings will depend on the eligible fare and applicable promotional terms.

For families or groups travelling together, savings on multiple tickets could make the promotion even more attractive. Rather than paying the full fare for every passenger, eligible travellers may be able to keep more money in their travel budget.

When Can Travellers Buy the Discounted Tickets?

Timing is especially important for this promotion. KTM Berhad has specified that promotional ticket purchases are available only on 10 October 2026, starting at 12.15 am.

This means travellers should not assume that the same discount will remain available for bookings made on the following day. Anyone interested in taking advantage of the offer should make preparations before the booking window begins.

A practical way to prepare is to decide on the preferred destination, travel date, departure station and number of passengers in advance. Having these details ready can make the booking process more straightforward when the promotional tickets become available.

Travellers should also check the available train services and fares before completing their purchase. The discount is subject to the promotion’s terms and conditions, so it is important to confirm that the selected journey qualifies.

As the offer is limited to one booking day, it may be helpful to avoid leaving the purchase until the last minute. Planning early gives travellers more time to review their options and make an informed decision.

Travel Between 10 October and 30 November 2026

One appealing feature of the 10.10 OSEM OCTOBER sale is that the promotional travel period extends beyond the booking date.

Although travellers must purchase their promotional tickets on 10 October 2026, the eligible travel period runs from 10 October to 30 November 2026. This provides several weeks of potential travel dates to consider.

For example, those planning an October holiday can look at suitable dates later in the month, while travellers with November plans can check whether their intended journeys fall within the promotional period.

This flexibility is useful for people who need to arrange their travel around work schedules, school holidays, family commitments or special occasions. Rather than having to travel immediately after purchasing a ticket, eligible passengers can plan a journey for a later date within the stated window.

Nevertheless, travellers should confirm the availability of their preferred service and the conditions attached to the promotional fare before booking. Not every date, route or train service should be assumed to qualify without checking the applicable terms.

Why Should Travellers Take Advantage of This Deal?

The main reason to consider this promotion is simple: saving on transportation can help make a trip more affordable.

When planning a holiday, people often focus on hotel rates, attraction tickets and dining expenses. However, transportation is another important part of the overall budget. Reducing the cost of train tickets can free up money for other parts of the journey.

For instance, the savings could contribute towards a meal at a local restaurant, entrance fees for an attraction or a little extra spending money for souvenirs. For travellers who make several journeys throughout the year, taking advantage of suitable promotions can also help them manage their annual travel expenses.

Another reason to consider travelling by ETS is convenience. Train journeys allow passengers to relax, read, listen to music or enjoy the passing scenery instead of concentrating on the road. For longer journeys, this can be a welcome alternative to driving.

The promotion may also encourage travellers to plan a short getaway that they have been postponing. A trip to visit relatives, discover a different city or enjoy a change of scenery may feel more achievable when the transportation costs are lower.

Of course, the best value comes from booking a journey that genuinely suits personal travel plans. A discount is useful when it reduces the cost of a trip that travellers already want or need to make.

An Important Condition: Promotional Tickets Cannot Be Refunded

Before purchasing tickets, travellers must pay attention to one important restriction.

According to KTM Berhad’s announcement, promotional tickets purchased under this offer cannot be cancelled, and refunds are not allowed.

This condition is particularly important for anyone whose plans are uncertain. Work commitments, family arrangements and other unexpected circumstances can sometimes affect travel schedules. Since cancellation and refunds are not permitted for these promotional tickets, buyers should be confident about their intended travel dates before proceeding.

It is advisable to double-check the departure date, destination, passenger information and other booking details before confirming payment. Taking a few extra moments to review the information can help prevent avoidable mistakes.

Travellers should also read the official terms and conditions to understand the full requirements of the offer. The promotion’s conditions should be reviewed before making a purchase, especially if flexibility is an important consideration.

Tips for Making the Most of the 10.10 OSEM OCTOBER Sale

To get the best out of this promotion, start by deciding where to go and when to travel. Having a clear plan makes it easier to compare available services and choose a journey that fits the budget.

Next, prepare the necessary booking information before 10 October 2026. Since promotional purchases are restricted to that date, early preparation can help reduce the chance of missing the offer.

Travellers should also compare the discounted fare with their other transport options. While a 20% discount can provide worthwhile savings, the overall value of a journey depends on factors such as the destination, departure time and any additional expenses.

For families and groups, it may be useful to calculate the expected savings across all eligible tickets. This gives everyone a clearer idea of how much the promotion could reduce the total travel budget.

Most importantly, avoid buying tickets simply because a promotion is available. Choose travel dates carefully and make sure the booking details are correct, particularly because cancellations and refunds are not allowed for these promotional tickets.
