If you have been waiting for a good reason to browse through books, stationery, gadgets and everyday essentials, POPULAR is bringing another shopping opportunity to Ampang Point, Selangor. From 5 to 19 October 2026, shoppers can head to the Ruang Legar at POPULAR Ampang Point to discover a range of special offers designed to make their purchases a little more rewarding.
Book lovers in particular may want to pay attention, as selected Malay and English books are eligible for a 20% rebate when buying two or more books. There are also opportunities to receive a free RM5 voucher with a minimum nett spend of RM40, while selected BUY WITH BUY products can enjoy rebates of up to 79% with a minimum nett spend of RM60.
That already gives shoppers several ways to stretch their ringgit, especially for anyone who has been planning to stock up on reading materials, stationery or useful items for work, study and home.
A Good Time to Browse for Books
There is something satisfying about walking into a bookshop without having to rush. You can browse different sections, compare titles and perhaps discover something that was not originally on your shopping list.
The POPULAR promotion at Ampang Point is a particularly interesting opportunity for regular readers because the 20% rebate applies to selected Malay and English books when shoppers purchase two or more. For someone already planning to pick up a couple of books, this could be a useful way to reduce the overall cost.
It also gives shoppers an excuse to explore beyond their usual favourites. Whether the plan is to find novels for leisure reading, educational titles, reference books or something suitable as a gift, a visit to POPULAR can turn into a longer browsing session than expected.
Of course, the 20% rebate applies only to selected books and is subject to the promotion’s terms and conditions, so shoppers should check the applicable items before paying.
More Than Just Books
One of the reasons this promotion is worth considering is that POPULAR is not limited to books. The Ampang Point promotion also highlights stationery, gadgets and IT products, along with other items available at the store.
This can make the trip more worthwhile for families, students, office workers and anyone who enjoys browsing practical products. A stationery purchase can easily become part of the same shopping trip as buying a book, while shoppers looking for gadgets and IT accessories can take the opportunity to see what is available.
For parents, it could also be a convenient time to look for school or study supplies. Students may find notebooks, writing materials and other useful stationery, while those working from home or in an office can browse for items that can make their daily routine more organised.
Rather than making separate trips for different types of purchases, shoppers can take their time exploring the various categories available at POPULAR.
Free RM5 Voucher with RM40 Nett Spend
Another offer that may catch the attention of bargain hunters is the free RM5 voucher with a minimum nett spend of RM40.
A RM40 threshold is relatively accessible for shoppers who are already planning to purchase a few items. If a book, stationery products or other essentials are already on the shopping list, reaching the required amount may not be particularly difficult.
The important point is to pay attention to the conditions of the voucher, including how and when it can be used. Since the offer is subject to terms and conditions, shoppers should check the promotion details at the store before making assumptions about eligibility.
For regular POPULAR customers, a voucher can also make the promotion more attractive because it potentially provides another saving opportunity for a future purchase.
Up to 79% Rebates on Selected BUY WITH BUY Products
For shoppers who enjoy looking for bigger reductions, the BUY WITH BUY promotion is another reason to take a closer look.
Selected BUY WITH BUY products can enjoy rebates of up to 79%, provided shoppers meet the minimum nett spend of RM60. The phrase “up to” is important here, as the maximum rebate will apply only to qualifying products rather than every item in the store.
Still, discounts at this level can make selected products particularly interesting to bargain hunters. If there is already a qualifying product that has been on the shopping list, this could be a good opportunity to check whether it is included in the promotion.
The best approach is to browse first, identify the products that qualify and then work out whether the overall purchase represents good value. That way, shoppers can avoid buying something simply because the discount looks attractive.
A Little Extra for POPULAR Members
There is also something for shoppers who are applying for or renewing their POPULAR membership Card/e-Card during the promotion period.
Eligible customers can receive a free exclusive gift for every POPULAR member Card/e-Card application or renewal. For existing members whose membership is due for renewal, this could be an additional incentive to take care of it while visiting the store.
Meanwhile, customers who have not yet joined can consider whether the membership benefits are useful for their regular shopping habits. The exclusive gift is subject to the promotion’s terms and conditions, so it is worth checking the requirements with the store team.
Why Should You Go and Enjoy This Deal?
The biggest attraction of this promotion is the variety of savings available in one shopping trip. Instead of focusing on just one discount, shoppers can look at the different offers and see which ones match their needs.
Book buyers can look out for the 20% rebate on selected Malay and English books when purchasing two or more. Shoppers spending at least RM40 nett can check their eligibility for the free RM5 voucher, while those spending RM60 nett or more can explore the selected BUY WITH BUY products offering rebates of up to 79%.
There is also an opportunity for POPULAR members to receive an exclusive gift when applying for or renewing their membership Card/e-Card.
For families, students and regular readers, the promotion is worth adding to the shopping calendar because the products are useful beyond the promotional period. Books can be enjoyed for weeks or months, stationery can be used for school or work, and gadgets and IT accessories can serve practical purposes.
Another advantage is simply having time to browse. Since the promotion runs for several days, shoppers do not necessarily have to squeeze everything into one rushed visit. They can choose a convenient day between 5 and 19 October to visit POPULAR Ampang Point and see what catches their attention.
As with any promotional campaign, shoppers should remember that selected products, rebates, vouchers and gifts are subject to terms and conditions. Availability may also vary, so checking the promotion details at the store before completing a purchase is always a sensible move.
If a visit to POPULAR Ampang Point has been on the list for a while, this promotion provides an extra reason to make the trip. From books and stationery to gadgets, IT products, vouchers and member rewards, there are several ways for shoppers to potentially get more value from their spending during this limited-time promotion.
