PTPTN Direct Debit Discount 10% Promotion 2021. NATIONAL Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) borrowers who are already making repayments through salary deductions or direct debits are also eligible for the 10% discount given in Budget 2022.
On Oct 29, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said the government has agreed to give discounts to PTPTN borrowers if they make payments from Nov 1 to April 30.
He said borrowers will receive a 15% discount if they make a full settlement on their outstanding loans.
“(There will be) a 12% discount for payments if at least 50% of the outstanding balance in a single payment (is made),” he added.
He also said there will be a 10% discount if repayments are made through salary deduction or direct debit as per schedule.
PTPTN said borrowers who want to make a full settlement of the loan or repay at least 50% of their balance in one payment must obtain confirmation of the debt balance through its official portal at www.ptptn.gov.my or contact the PTPTN Marketing Executive from Nov 1.
“Payments can then be made through any of PTPTN’s repayment channels.
“The discount incentive will be updated in the borrowers’ loan accounts at the end of each month and the borrowers can view their statements from the 7th of the following month,” it added.
