Looking for something fresh and special to prepare for your next family meal? Seafood lovers have a good reason to visit Jaya Grocer this weekend, as the supermarket is bringing fresh Norwegian Fjord Trout straight from Norway to Malaysian shoppers at an attractive promotional price. If you enjoy preparing fresh seafood at home or simply want to try something different for your next meal, this limited-time promotion is worth checking out.

From 31 October to 1 November 2026, shoppers visiting Jaya Grocer at Elmina City can enjoy Norwegian Fjord Trout Whole (3–5kg) at a special Purchase with Purchase (PWP) price of RM65.90 per kg, reduced from its normal price of RM75.90 per kg. There is an additional treat too: customers who purchase the promotional fish will receive a special free giveaway, making this weekend offer even more appealing.

For anyone who enjoys good-quality seafood but prefers to keep grocery spending under control, this is an opportunity to bring home something special without paying the usual price.

Fresh Norwegian Fjord Trout at a Special Price

One of the highlights of this promotion is the Norwegian Fjord Trout Whole, available in sizes ranging from 3kg to 5kg. Known for its attractive colour, delicate texture and rich flavour, fjord trout is a popular choice among seafood enthusiasts who enjoy preparing fresh fish in different ways.

The fish is air-flown directly from Norway twice a week, allowing shoppers to enjoy a product that travels straight from its country of origin to the supermarket. Having fresh seafood delivered regularly is particularly appealing for customers who appreciate quality ingredients and want something different from the usual seafood options available at the grocery store.

During this special two-day promotion, the whole Norwegian Fjord Trout is priced at RM65.90 per kg instead of the normal RM75.90 per kg. That represents a saving of RM10 per kg, which can make a noticeable difference when purchasing a whole fish weighing between 3kg and 5kg.

For example, a 3kg fish would cost RM197.70 at the promotional price, compared with RM227.70 at the normal price. That is a saving of RM30. A 5kg fish would cost RM329.50 instead of RM379.50, giving shoppers a saving of RM50.

These savings make the offer particularly interesting for households that enjoy cooking seafood regularly, families planning a special meal or even those who want to prepare several dishes using one large fish.

How to Enjoy the RM65.90/kg Promotional Price

There is one important condition shoppers should remember before heading to Jaya Grocer. The RM65.90 per kg price is offered under a Purchase with Purchase arrangement, meaning customers must first spend a minimum of RM50 in a single receipt to qualify.

This is a good opportunity to combine the seafood purchase with other grocery essentials. Customers can shop for vegetables, fruits, sauces, seasonings, cooking ingredients or everyday household groceries before taking advantage of the special fish price.

However, shoppers should plan their purchases carefully. The minimum spending requirement excludes cigarettes and alcohol, so these items will not contribute towards the RM50 qualifying amount.

It is also worth remembering that the promotion is limited to one whole fish per customer. Therefore, anyone planning to purchase more than one should take note of this restriction before visiting the store.

Get a Free Special Giveaway with Your Purchase

Besides enjoying a lower price on Norwegian Fjord Trout, customers will also receive a free special giveaway with every qualifying fish purchase.

This additional gift makes the promotion more attractive, particularly for shoppers who enjoy receiving something extra when purchasing their favourite products. While the giveaway is a bonus rather than the main attraction, it adds another reason to consider visiting during the promotional period.

As the campaign runs for just two days, customers should avoid leaving their shopping until the last minute. Both the promotional fish and the free giveaway are subject to availability, so visiting earlier may provide a better opportunity to enjoy the offer.

The exact giveaway item is not specified in the promotional announcement, so customers who would like to know more can check directly with the participating Jaya Grocer outlet.

More Ways to Prepare Your Norwegian Fjord Trout

A whole Norwegian Fjord Trout weighing between 3kg and 5kg offers plenty of possibilities in the kitchen. Rather than preparing the entire fish in one particular way, households can consider dividing it into different portions for several meals.

For a simple family dinner, grilled trout with lemon, garlic, butter and herbs is a delicious option. The natural flavour of the fish can be enjoyed without needing too many complicated ingredients. Pair it with roasted vegetables, potatoes or a fresh salad for a satisfying meal.

Another option is to prepare steamed trout with ginger, spring onions and light soy sauce. This style of preparation is ideal for families who prefer a lighter seafood dish with familiar Asian flavours.

Customers can also consider pan-frying individual portions, preparing fish soup or using the fish for special weekend meals when relatives and friends come over.

The availability of cutting services is another useful feature mentioned in the promotion. Shoppers who prefer not to handle a whole fish at home can enquire about having it cut into suitable portions at the store.

However, customers should be prepared for some waiting time when requesting cutting services, especially during busy shopping periods. Vacuum packing is also available, which can be helpful for those who intend to divide the fish into portions and store them for later use. Terms and conditions apply to these services.

Earn GrabCoins When Shopping at Jaya Grocer

There is another reason to make the most of this grocery shopping trip. Jaya Grocer members can earn GrabCoins when making in-store payments using cash, debit cards, credit cards or GrabPay.

For regular shoppers, earning rewards while purchasing groceries is an added benefit worth considering. Instead of treating the seafood promotion as a standalone purchase, customers can combine it with their usual grocery shopping and enjoy additional membership benefits.

Those who are already members should remember to take advantage of the available rewards programme when completing their transactions. Customers who are not yet familiar with the membership benefits can enquire with the store for more information.

Why Should You Visit Jaya Grocer for This Promotion?

There are several reasons why this weekend’s Norwegian Fjord Trout promotion deserves attention.

First, the RM65.90 per kg promotional price offers a saving of RM10 per kg compared with the normal RM75.90 per kg price. For a whole fish weighing several kilograms, the total savings can be worthwhile.

Second, the fish is air-flown directly from Norway twice a week, making it an interesting option for seafood lovers who appreciate fresh ingredients and want to try something different at home.

Third, the free special giveaway provides an additional benefit with the purchase. Combined with the promotional price, it makes the offer more attractive for customers who are already planning to buy seafood.

Finally, the availability of cutting and vacuum packing services makes it easier for shoppers to prepare the fish for cooking or storage. This is particularly useful for households that want to divide a large fish into smaller portions for different meals.

If you are planning a grocery shopping trip around Elmina City, this could be a good opportunity to pick up something special for the weekend.
