Deepavali is a wonderful time to bring family and friends together, prepare delicious meals and brighten up the home for festive celebrations. However, getting everything ready for the occasion can also mean spending more on groceries, cooking ingredients and household essentials. The good news is that MYDIN Malaysia is welcoming the festive season with its A Brighter Deepavali promotion, giving shoppers an opportunity to enjoy special offers and make their festive shopping a little more affordable.

Running from 29 October to 9 November 2026, this promotion is worth checking out for anyone planning their Deepavali celebrations or looking to stock up on everyday necessities. With selected products featured in the A Brighter Deepavali catalogue, exclusive prices for members and an additional rewards opportunity, there are several reasons to include MYDIN in the festive shopping plans.

Whether shoppers are preparing for a family gathering, organising an open house or simply trying to stretch their grocery budget, this is a good opportunity to look for savings while shopping for the things they need.

Celebrate A Brighter Deepavali with MYDIN Malaysia

Deepavali is a time associated with light, happiness, generosity and togetherness. Preparing for the celebration often involves buying fresh ingredients, arranging meals for guests and ensuring the household is ready to welcome friends and relatives.

MYDIN Malaysia’s A Brighter Deepavali promotion offers shoppers a convenient way to explore selected festive products and look out for special prices during this period.

Instead of making several shopping trips to different places, shoppers can start by checking the available offers at their nearest MYDIN supermarket or participating outlet. Planning the shopping list around the advertised promotions can make it easier to identify useful savings and avoid spending unnecessarily.

The promotion runs for a limited period, from 29 October until 9 November 2026. Shoppers who intend to take advantage of the offers should check the catalogue early, particularly if they have specific products in mind.

As product availability and promotional conditions may vary, it is advisable to confirm the latest details with the relevant MYDIN outlet before making a special trip.

Look Out for Savings on Festive Essentials

One of the biggest expenses during any festive celebration is often the preparation of food. From ingredients for traditional dishes to refreshments for visiting guests, the shopping list can quickly become longer than expected.

MYDIN’s A Brighter Deepavali catalogue gives shoppers a starting point for identifying selected products included in the promotion. Those planning their festive menus can compare the advertised prices with their usual grocery spending and decide which offers are most useful.

A practical way to get more value from the promotion is to prepare a shopping list before visiting the supermarket. Start with the essentials needed for planned meals, followed by household supplies and other items that are running low.

Shoppers should also compare the promotional prices with their usual purchases rather than assuming every discounted item represents a saving. Buying products that will genuinely be used is a better way to keep the overall shopping budget under control.

For families hosting an open house, this approach can be particularly helpful. By planning purchases ahead of time, they can focus on ingredients and essentials that contribute directly to their celebrations without buying too many unnecessary items.

Earn 50 Extra MERRY Points with MYDIN Rewards

Another reason to pay attention to this promotion is the exclusive MYDIN Rewards offer.

From 29 October to 9 November 2026, shoppers who purchase three selected products from the A Brighter Deepavali catalogue in a single receipt can receive 50 extra MERRY Points.

This offer may be especially useful for regular MYDIN shoppers who already purchase eligible household and grocery products. Rather than making separate transactions, they can plan their purchases together and check whether three qualifying products can be included in the same receipt.

Before paying, shoppers should review the catalogue to identify the selected products that qualify for the bonus points. They should also confirm any applicable terms and conditions with MYDIN, including membership requirements and the treatment of eligible purchases.

The single-receipt requirement is an important detail. Purchasing the selected products across multiple transactions may not meet the stated condition, so it is worth organising the shopping list before reaching the checkout.

For customers who frequently shop at MYDIN, rewards points can add another benefit to an ordinary grocery trip. While the extra points should not be the only reason to buy something, they can provide additional value when the qualifying products are already on the shopping list.

Become a Meriah Member for Special Prices

Shoppers looking for more ways to save should also consider MYDIN’s Meriah membership.

According to the promotion announcement, Meriah Members can access special discounted prices on selected products. This means customers who regularly shop at MYDIN may want to check the membership benefits before paying for their festive purchases.

Membership is particularly worth exploring when the products being purchased are everyday essentials that the household needs regardless of the festive season. If the member price offers a genuine saving on items already planned for purchase, the benefit can make a difference to the final bill.

Customers can find the MYDIN Rewards app through the following links:

App Store: http://apps.apple.com/my/app/mydin-rewards/id6478905253

Google Play Store: http://play.google.com/store/apps/details

The Google Play link supplied in the original announcement appears to lead to a general app listing rather than a clearly identified MYDIN Rewards page. Android users should therefore verify that they are downloading the official app before registering.

New members should check the registration process and any applicable membership requirements in the app or through MYDIN’s official channels. Existing members can review their membership details and available rewards before heading to the supermarket.

Why Should Shoppers Visit MYDIN During This Promotion?

The biggest advantage of a festive promotion is the opportunity to combine necessary shopping with potential savings. Instead of waiting until the last minute to purchase everything, shoppers can use the promotional period to organise their spending and buy suitable essentials at advertised prices.

MYDIN’s promotion also offers a clear incentive for customers who want to explore the catalogue and take advantage of the additional MERRY Points offer. Those who can meet the three-selected-products requirement in one receipt may benefit from the bonus while completing their usual grocery shopping.

There is also the convenience of checking multiple household needs in one trip. Whether the priority is preparing food for guests, replenishing everyday supplies or finding member-exclusive prices, shoppers can compare the available offers and decide what fits their budget.

Families should remember that the best bargains are not necessarily the products with the biggest advertised discounts. The most useful deals are those that help reduce the cost of items they would have purchased anyway.

It is also sensible to check stock availability, the applicable promotional terms and whether the offers are available at the intended outlet. These small steps can help shoppers avoid disappointment and make better purchasing decisions.

Make the Most of the A Brighter Deepavali Promotion

Before visiting MYDIN, take a few minutes to review the A Brighter Deepavali catalogue, prepare a shopping list and set a spending limit. Mark the selected products that qualify for the extra MERRY Points, and check whether Meriah membership offers a better price on any planned purchases.

Shoppers should also keep the promotional dates in mind. The offer runs from 29 October to 9 November 2026, so anyone interested in the catalogue deals or additional rewards should plan their visit within this period.
