Village Grocer 118 Mall Opening Giveaway: Get a FREE Exclusive Foldable Shopping Bag with RM118 Spend on 1 November 2026

Looking for a little shopping treat that is both practical and uniquely Malaysian? Village Grocer is celebrating the opening of its 118 Mall outlet with a special giveaway that shoppers may want to add to their plans for Sunday, 1 November 2026. Customers who spend RM118 or more in a single receipt can redeem a FREE Village Grocer 118 Exclusive Foldable Shopping Bag, featuring designs inspired by iconic Malaysian food pouches.

This is a lovely opportunity for grocery shoppers to enjoy their usual shopping trip while picking up a complimentary item to take home. Rather than spending extra money on a souvenir, eligible customers can receive an exclusive shopping bag simply by meeting the minimum purchase requirement. However, there is a catch: the giveaway is limited to the first 1,000 units, with only one redemption allowed per customer and stocks available while they last.

For shoppers who enjoy collecting limited-edition merchandise or finding useful freebies, this opening celebration could be worth a visit.

Celebrate the Opening of Village Grocer at 118 Mall

The opening of a new grocery outlet is always a good opportunity to explore what is available in the neighbourhood, especially for people who enjoy convenient grocery shopping and discovering new places to shop.

Village Grocer is marking the occasion at its 118 Mall outlet with an exclusive foldable shopping bag giveaway. The promotion combines an everyday shopping essential with a touch of Malaysian character, making it an appealing little extra for customers who are already planning to buy groceries.

The bag features iconic Malaysian food pouch designs, giving it a distinctive look that celebrates familiar local food culture. These designs could make the bags particularly interesting for shoppers who appreciate locally inspired products and practical accessories with a little personality.

Instead of being just another ordinary shopping bag, this exclusive item offers a small reminder of the opening celebration. It may also appeal to customers who like keeping special merchandise from store openings or limited-time promotions.

If Village Grocer at 118 Mall is already somewhere you intend to visit, the giveaway provides another reason to make the trip on the promotional date.

How to Get Your FREE Exclusive Foldable Shopping Bag

The redemption requirement is straightforward. Customers need to spend at least RM118 in a single receipt at the participating Village Grocer outlet to qualify for the free gift.

Here is how shoppers can prepare for the promotion:

Step 1: Plan your grocery shopping.

Before visiting, consider the groceries and household essentials you genuinely need. Make a shopping list covering items such as fresh produce, pantry staples, drinks, snacks and other everyday necessities. This makes it easier to reach the minimum spend without buying things that will go unused.

Step 2: Spend RM118 or more in one receipt.

Your qualifying purchase must reach RM118 in a single receipt. If you are shopping with the intention of redeeming the gift, check your basket total before completing payment. Splitting your purchases into separate transactions may affect your eligibility, so it is best to keep your qualifying items together.

Step 3: Redeem at Village Grocer 118 Mall.

The giveaway is available exclusively at Village Grocer 118 Mall. Shopping at another Village Grocer outlet will not qualify for this particular promotion, even if your receipt meets the minimum spending requirement.

Step 4: Check gift availability.

The promotion is limited to the first 1,000 units, and redemption is restricted to one per customer. Eligible shoppers should therefore visit early rather than wait until the end of the day. Meeting the minimum spending requirement does not guarantee a gift if the available stock has already run out.

Customers should also check with the outlet regarding the redemption procedure and any applicable terms and conditions before making their purchase.

Collect Malaysian-Inspired Shopping Bag Designs

One of the more interesting features of this giveaway is the design of the exclusive foldable shopping bags. Inspired by iconic Malaysian food pouches, the bags offer something different from the plain reusable shopping bags that many people already own.

Malaysia has a rich food culture, and familiar food packaging often brings back memories of favourite snacks, traditional treats and everyday market visits. Bringing those familiar visual elements into a shopping bag gives the free gift a local touch that shoppers may find charming.

There is also a collecting element to the promotion. According to the announcement, each bag design will be distributed at random, encouraging shoppers who enjoy collecting different designs to see which one they receive.

Do keep in mind that random distribution means customers cannot assume they will receive a particular design. The promotion also allows only one redemption per customer, so shoppers should not expect to collect every design through repeated redemptions under the same offer.

Even so, the surprise of receiving a randomly selected design adds a little excitement to an otherwise ordinary grocery run. The bag could be useful for carrying groceries, keeping shopping essentials together or bringing along on future shopping trips.

Why Should You Visit Village Grocer 118 Mall for This Deal?

The biggest attraction is the chance to receive a free, exclusive item while purchasing groceries you may need anyway. With a minimum spend of RM118, the promotion could be particularly worthwhile for households that regularly stock up on food and daily essentials.

Rather than making a special purchase solely to qualify for a free gift, shoppers can plan their usual grocery spending around the promotion. For example, if you already need to replenish your pantry, buy ingredients for the coming week or pick up household necessities, this may be a convenient time to combine those purchases with the giveaway.

The foldable design is another practical advantage. Reusable shopping bags can be handy for carrying smaller grocery purchases, keeping a spare bag in the car or taking along when visiting other shops. A foldable bag is particularly convenient because it can be stored away when not in use.

The exclusive Malaysian-inspired designs also make the gift more distinctive than a standard promotional item. For collectors, it offers a chance to receive a limited-quantity souvenir associated with the opening of Village Grocer at 118 Mall.

Families and friends who are already planning to shop in the area may also find the promotion a pleasant addition to their outing. It gives them a simple shopping goal while allowing them to explore the outlet and complete their grocery errands in one trip.

Of course, it is important to keep the spending requirement in perspective. A free bag is a bonus, not a reason to overspend. Customers should only purchase what they need and consider whether the RM118 minimum fits their normal grocery budget.
