If you enjoy shopping for fresh groceries, discovering quality ingredients and making the most of special opening promotions, there is a new destination worth adding to your shopping list. Village Grocer is opening a brand-new outlet at One Square, Bandar Utama, on 23 October 2026, and shoppers can look forward to a series of opening-day bargains, complimentary gifts and exciting activities celebrating fresh food.

To mark the occasion, Village Grocer will host its Farmer Fair from 23 to 25 October 2026. Visitors can explore a selection of fresh produce, quality meats, seafood and organic favourites while enjoying the lively atmosphere of a supermarket opening celebration. There will also be a live tuna-cutting session and an opportunity to see live black tiger prawns, making this more than just an ordinary grocery shopping trip.

For households looking to stretch their grocery budgets, the opening promotions could be an excellent opportunity to stock up on everyday essentials, discover new ingredients and enjoy several complimentary gifts with qualifying purchases. Some offers are available only on specific dates, so planning a visit carefully will help shoppers make the most of the celebrations.

Village Grocer Opens at One Square, Bandar Utama on 23 October 2026

Village Grocer is welcoming shoppers to its new One Square, Bandar Utama outlet on 23 October 2026. A new supermarket can be particularly useful for residents living or working nearby, offering another place to purchase fresh ingredients, household groceries and quality food products.

The opening celebration is also a good reason to explore what the store has to offer. Rather than simply visiting to buy the usual groceries, shoppers can take their time browsing the fresh food selection, looking for promotional prices and checking out the special activities planned for the opening weekend.

Whether they are preparing meals for the family, planning a weekend barbecue or searching for ingredients for a special dinner, visitors can make the trip more worthwhile by combining their regular shopping with the available opening offers.

Enjoy the Village Grocer Farmer Fair from 23 to 25 October 2026

One of the main attractions is the Village Grocer Farmer Fair, running from 23 to 25 October 2026. The three-day event will feature fresh produce, quality meats, seafood and organic favourites, giving shoppers an opportunity to explore a variety of ingredients in one place.

Fresh groceries are an important part of any household budget. Choosing suitable ingredients and comparing prices can help families plan their meals without overspending. The Farmer Fair provides an opportunity to browse the available selection, discover ingredients they may not usually purchase and find inspiration for preparing meals at home.

Seafood enthusiasts may be especially interested in the live tuna-cutting session and the chance to see live black tiger prawns. These activities add something different to the shopping experience and make the opening celebration more appealing to visitors who enjoy fresh seafood.

For anyone who regularly cooks at home, the event could also be a useful opportunity to explore new meal ideas. Fresh vegetables, quality meat and seafood can form the basis of everything from simple weekday dinners to more elaborate weekend meals.

Families can also make this a casual weekend outing, combining grocery shopping with a look around the new outlet. However, shoppers should check the store’s latest announcements for any additional information about activity schedules.

Bumper Bonanza: Buy-One-Get-One Deals on Opening Day

The biggest reason to visit on opening day may be the Bumper Bonanza promotion, featuring buy-one-free-one (B1F1) deals and more on 23 October 2026.

Buy-one-free-one offers can provide useful savings, particularly when they apply to products shoppers already need. Instead of paying for two qualifying items separately, customers may receive an additional item under the promotion’s terms. This can be helpful for households that regularly purchase certain grocery products.

Nevertheless, it is worth checking which products are included before making a purchase. The promotion is available while stocks last, meaning popular items may sell out quickly.

Shoppers should consider arriving early, checking the displayed promotional terms and prioritising the products they genuinely want. This approach helps them enjoy the bargains without spending unnecessarily on items they would not normally buy.

Free Fruits and Vegetables Gift Bag with RM300 Spending

Another opening-day offer gives shoppers a chance to receive one complimentary fruits and vegetables gift bag when they spend at least RM300.

The promotion is available on 23 October 2026 and is limited to the first 50 redemptions per day. This makes it a particularly limited offer, so shoppers interested in claiming the gift should plan their visit accordingly.

For households already planning a substantial grocery shop, the gift bag could be an appealing extra. Fresh fruits and vegetables are useful ingredients for everyday meals, packed lunches and healthier snacks.

However, there is no need to spend RM300 solely to qualify for a free gift. It makes more sense to combine planned purchases, such as fresh produce, meat, seafood and pantry staples, and check whether the total naturally reaches the required amount.

More Complimentary Gifts with Qualifying Purchases

Village Grocer has also announced several other gifts across selected promotional dates, giving shoppers more reasons to keep an eye on the opening celebration.

On 23 October 2026, customers who spend at least RM100 in a single receipt can receive one complimentary pack of angpao containing four discount vouchers. The offer is limited to 1,000 units. These vouchers may be useful for future savings, subject to the individual vouchers’ terms and conditions.

Another opening-day offer provides one pack of Otoki Ramen Sari plain instant noodles, containing five 110g portions, with a minimum spend of RM100. This gift is limited to 200 redemptions per day.

Customers should note that these are separate promotions with their own conditions. They should confirm the applicable terms and redemption requirements in-store rather than assume that every gift can automatically be claimed with the same receipt.

There are also additional gifts planned for later dates:

• 30 October 2026: Receive two 100ml bottles of Listerine Total Care mouthwash with a minimum spend of RM100, limited to 200 redemptions per day.
• 30 October 2026: Receive one whole fresh Norwegian Atlantic salmon weighing approximately 3–4kg with a minimum spend of RM350 on fresh seafood products, limited to 20 redemptions per day.
• 13 November 2026: Receive one Royal Gold Signature facial tissue with a minimum spend of RM100, limited to 200 redemptions per day.

The complimentary whole Norwegian Atlantic salmon is particularly noteworthy for seafood lovers. However, the minimum spend specifically applies to fresh seafood products, so shoppers should verify which purchases qualify before checking out. With only 20 redemptions available per day, this offer is extremely limited.

These later promotions give shoppers another reason to follow Village Grocer’s announcements after the grand opening. Anyone interested in a particular gift should take note of the corresponding date and avoid assuming that all offers are available throughout the entire campaign.

Extra Rewards for New Bites Members

There are also special offers for shoppers signing up as new Bites members on 23 October 2026.

Eligible new members can receive one complimentary succulent plant with a minimum spend of RM100, limited to the first 100 members. Another offer provides one kitchen plant with a minimum spend of RM180, also limited to the first 100 members.

For shoppers who enjoy decorating their homes with greenery, these gifts offer something a little different from the usual grocery freebies. A succulent can make a pleasant addition to a desk or windowsill, while a kitchen plant may appeal to people who enjoy keeping plants near their cooking area.

New Bites members can also receive a complimentary Village Grocer non-woven bag with a minimum spend of RM30 on 23 October 2026. This offer is limited to one redemption per member.

Anyone planning to sign up should check the membership requirements and the terms for each gift. The first-100-member limits mean that availability is restricted, and shoppers should not assume that every gift will remain available throughout the day.

Why Should Shoppers Visit Village Grocer One Square?

The appeal of this opening celebration is the combination of grocery shopping, promotional bargains, complimentary gifts and fresh-food activities.

First, shoppers who already need to replenish their groceries can potentially combine their regular spending with selected opening-day rewards. Second, the Farmer Fair offers a chance to explore fresh produce, meats, seafood and organic products while discovering meal ideas. Third, the tuna-cutting session and live black tiger prawns bring an added element of interest to the visit.

The various gifts also offer different benefits depending on individual needs. Families may prefer the fruits and vegetables gift bag, while instant noodle fans might appreciate the Otoki Ramen Sari pack. Seafood enthusiasts may want to mark 30 October on their calendars for the Norwegian Atlantic salmon offer.

The most important thing is to plan purchases sensibly. Read the promotional conditions, check the minimum spending requirements and prioritise products that will actually be used at home. A free gift is a welcome bonus, but the best bargain is one that provides genuine value for money.

Shoppers should also remember that several offers have strict redemption limits and are available only on specific dates. Visiting early may improve the chance of finding the desired promotional items, although redemption is never guaranteed.

Overall, the opening of Village Grocer at One Square, Bandar Utama, looks set to give local shoppers an enjoyable opportunity to explore a new grocery destination while taking advantage of selected promotions. With the Farmer Fair running from 23 to 25 October 2026 and additional gifts scheduled for 30 October and 13 November, there are several dates to consider.
