Anime fans, cosplayers and lovers of anime, comics and games (ACG) have something exciting to look forward to this October! If spending a weekend surrounded by your favourite anime culture, meeting fellow fans and enjoying an atmosphere filled with creativity sounds like your idea of fun, make plans to visit ACG BASE at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) on 24 and 25 October 2026. The best part? Entry is free, making this an attractive weekend activity for anyone looking for something enjoyable without spending money on admission tickets.

Running from 10AM to 10PM on both days, this anime-themed gathering offers an opportunity to enjoy the vibrant world of Japanese pop culture in a welcoming community setting. Whether you’re an enthusiastic cosplayer, a long-time anime follower, a collector of merchandise or simply someone curious about the ACG scene, this is an event worth considering for your weekend plans.

Enjoy an Anime-Filled Weekend at ACG BASE

Anime conventions have become popular gathering places for fans to celebrate their favourite characters, series and creative interests. They bring together people who share similar passions, creating opportunities to make new friends, discover interesting activities and enjoy a different kind of weekend experience.

The upcoming event at ACG BASE, located on Level 2 of LaLaport BBCC, is an opportunity to immerse yourself in this lively community. Instead of spending the entire weekend at home watching anime, why not head out and experience the enthusiasm of fellow fans in person?

The event announcement highlights anime-themed activities, exciting performances and opportunities to meet other members of the community. Although the full programme and individual activity schedules have not been provided, visitors can look forward to an occasion centred on anime culture and fan interaction.

For those who enjoy attending conventions, the atmosphere itself can be a major attraction. From conversations about favourite characters to exchanging recommendations for anime series, these gatherings give fans plenty of reasons to connect with people who understand their interests.

A Great Gathering for Anime Fans and Cosplayers

One of the biggest attractions of an anime convention is the opportunity to celebrate your favourite characters beyond the screen. Cosplay allows fans to bring characters to life through costumes, accessories, make-up and creative presentations.

If you have a cosplay outfit ready, this could be a good opportunity to wear it out and enjoy the convention atmosphere with other enthusiasts. You do not need to be a professional cosplayer to participate in the community. Sometimes, simply dressing as a beloved character and meeting people who recognise the reference can make the experience memorable.

Those who prefer ordinary clothes are equally welcome to enjoy the event. There is no need to prepare a costume or spend money on a special outfit before attending. Visitors can come as they are, explore the surroundings and enjoy being part of a community built around shared interests.

It is also a suitable outing for friends who enjoy different anime genres. One person might love action-packed adventures, while another prefers romance, fantasy or slice-of-life stories. An event like this gives everyone a chance to talk about their favourites and perhaps discover something new to watch afterwards.

Look Forward to Performances and Fan Activities

Beyond cosplay, the event announcement promotes exciting performances and opportunities for fans to gather. These elements can make an anime convention more engaging than an ordinary shopping trip, particularly for visitors who enjoy watching live entertainment and experiencing the energy of a crowd.

If you are planning to attend with friends, consider setting aside enough time to explore rather than rushing through the venue. With the event scheduled from 10AM until 10PM, visitors have a generous daily window in which to plan their visit. However, individual performances and activities may take place at specific times, so it is worth checking the organiser’s latest announcements before travelling.

You can also use the occasion to meet other fans, discuss favourite series and share your interests with people you might not otherwise encounter. For newcomers to the ACG community, attending a public gathering can be an approachable way to learn more about the local anime scene.

Please note that the complete activity timetable, performer details and any registration requirements for specific activities have not been confirmed in the supplied announcement. Checking the original event post for updates will help you plan your visit more effectively.

Free Entry Makes This a Budget-Friendly Weekend Plan

For bargain hunters, the most appealing detail is straightforward: entry is free.

With entertainment costs adding up quickly, finding activities that do not require an admission fee can make a real difference to your weekend budget. You can enjoy the event atmosphere without first paying for a ticket, leaving more room in your budget for transport, meals or other personal expenses.

This makes the convention particularly appealing to students, young adults, groups of friends and families looking for an affordable outing. Instead of paying for several admission tickets, visitors can spend their money only on the things they genuinely want during the trip.

Of course, free entry does not necessarily mean every activity, product or service inside the venue will be free. If merchandise, food or other purchases are available, their prices will depend on the individual sellers or providers. Visitors should also check whether any special activities require separate payment or advance registration.

A useful tip is to decide on a spending limit before arriving. Anime merchandise, collectibles and character-themed products can be tempting, especially when you come across something related to a favourite series. Setting a budget allows you to enjoy browsing without overspending.

Even if you do not purchase anything, you can still make the most of the gathering by enjoying the atmosphere, connecting with other fans and taking in the anime-inspired surroundings.

Make It a Fun Weekend Out at LaLaport BBCC

Another reason to consider attending is the venue. ACG BASE is located on Level 2 of LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, giving visitors a convenient destination to include in a wider day out.

You can plan a relaxed visit with friends, explore the anime event and then consider having a meal or spending some time around the shopping centre. If you are travelling from another part of Kuala Lumpur or elsewhere in the Klang Valley, it may be worthwhile to organise your transport and schedule ahead of time.

For visitors coming with a group, agreeing on a meeting point can make the outing easier, particularly if everyone wants to explore at a different pace. Cosplayers may also wish to allow extra time for getting ready and travelling comfortably in their costumes.

If you are bringing younger visitors, make sure everyone knows where to meet if the group becomes separated. It is also sensible to check the venue’s latest visitor guidelines and any event-specific arrangements before heading over.

Since the convention runs for two days, you can choose either Saturday, 24 October, or Sunday, 25 October 2026. If you have a busy weekend schedule, one day may be enough to enjoy the experience. Dedicated fans who want more time to explore can also check whether the activities differ between the two days.

Why Should You Visit This Anime Convention?

The ACG BASE anime event is worth considering for three main reasons: community, entertainment and affordability.

First, it offers an opportunity to meet people who share your interests. Whether you enjoy discussing storylines, collecting merchandise or dressing up as your favourite characters, being surrounded by like-minded fans can make the experience more enjoyable.

Second, the advertised performances and anime-themed gathering provide something different from a typical weekend shopping trip. You can step away from your usual routine and spend time enjoying a hobby that brings you happiness.

Finally, free admission makes the event accessible to visitors who want entertainment without committing to an expensive ticket. You can decide how much additional money to spend based on your own budget.

The event may also appeal to casual anime viewers who want to discover more about the local fan community. You do not need to know every popular series or recognise every character to enjoy being there. An open mind and an interest in the atmosphere are enough to get started.

Before leaving home, remember to check the organiser’s original announcement for any last-minute changes, programme updates or additional visitor information. Planning ahead can help you make better use of your time, especially if you are hoping to catch a particular performance.

Overall, anime fans and ACG enthusiasts looking for an affordable weekend activity should consider adding this gathering to their calendar. Bring your friends, prepare your cosplay if you have one and enjoy the opportunity to connect with fellow fans.
