Enjoy a FREE Drone Show Theatre: Animal World at Kuala Lumpur Tower on 17 October 2026
Looking for an exciting weekend activity in Kuala Lumpur that will not cost you anything to enjoy? Here is something worth adding to your calendar. On Saturday, 17 October 2026, Kuala Lumpur Tower Malaysia will host Drone Show Theatre: Animal World, a special event inviting families, friends and visitors to gather at Tower Terrace for an evening of entertainment under the night sky.
The best part? Admission is free! Visitors can look forward to a programme featuring musical performances, drone simulation and additional activities designed to make the evening more enjoyable. With the main show scheduled for 9.00 pm and side activities taking place from 8.00 pm to 9.30 pm, this event offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy something different without having to spend money on an expensive night out.
For anyone who enjoys discovering free events around the city, this is a date worth remembering. Instead of spending the weekend shopping at a mall or paying for an elaborate entertainment experience, visitors can head to one of Kuala Lumpur’s recognisable landmarks and enjoy an evening of community entertainment.
What Is Drone Show Theatre: Animal World?
Drone Show Theatre: Animal World is an event promoted by Kuala Lumpur Tower Malaysia, with an animal-themed concept that promises to bring a different kind of spectacle to the city.
Drone-based entertainment offers an interesting way to experience visual technology, combining the possibilities of coordinated drones with the atmosphere of an outdoor event. An animal-themed presentation also provides an appealing concept for families, particularly children who enjoy learning about animals and seeing creative displays.
Although the event announcement highlights drone simulation and musical performances, visitors should refer to the organiser’s official announcement for the latest information about the programme and the precise format of the main presentation.
What makes this event particularly attractive is the combination of entertainment and location. Kuala Lumpur Tower is a familiar landmark, and spending an evening at its Tower Terrace offers a different experience from visiting the usual entertainment venues.
Rather than simply watching a performance indoors, visitors can gather with other attendees, enjoy the surrounding atmosphere and make an evening of the occasion.

Planning ahead will help visitors make the most of this free event. Here are the important details to keep in mind.

Main show: 9.00 pm
Side activities: 8.00 pm to 9.30 pm
Venue: Tower Terrace, Kuala Lumpur Tower, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The side activities begin an hour before the main show, so visitors may wish to arrive early rather than reaching the venue just as the main programme is about to start.

Why Should You Visit This Free Event?
1. Enjoy an Evening Out Without an Admission Fee
One of the biggest reasons to attend is the free admission. Entertainment outings can become expensive, especially for families with several children. Ticket prices, food, drinks, transport and other expenses can quickly add up when planning a weekend activity.
This event provides an opportunity to enjoy a public entertainment programme without paying an admission charge. Visitors can spend time together and experience something different while keeping more of their money for other priorities.
Of course, free admission does not necessarily mean that the entire outing will be cost-free. Visitors may still need to budget for transportation, parking, meals or refreshments, depending on their plans.
Even so, having no admission fee makes this event a practical option for anyone looking for affordable things to do in Kuala Lumpur.
2. Bring the Family Together
Finding activities that appeal to different age groups can sometimes be challenging. Parents may want an enjoyable outing, children may be looking for something exciting to watch, and older family members may prefer a relaxed evening together.
Drone Show Theatre: Animal World offers a reason for everyone to gather in one place. The animal-themed concept, music and drone-related activities provide a different experience from the usual shopping or dining routine.
Families can use the occasion to spend quality time together, take photographs where permitted and create memories outside their everyday surroundings.
If you are planning to bring young children, consider their bedtime, comfort and ability to remain outdoors during an evening programme. Bringing drinking water and any necessary personal items can also help make the visit more comfortable.
3. Experience Entertainment at a Famous Kuala Lumpur Landmark
Kuala Lumpur Tower is one of the city’s best-known attractions, making it an appealing destination for visitors who want to explore more of their own city.
For residents, the event can provide a reason to revisit the area and enjoy a different experience. For tourists, it may offer another activity to consider when planning an evening in Kuala Lumpur.
The Tower Terrace setting also gives the event a distinctive location. Instead of spending the entire evening inside a shopping centre, visitors can enjoy an outdoor gathering in the surroundings of an iconic landmark.
If you have friends or relatives visiting Kuala Lumpur, this could be an opportunity to include a free event in their itinerary.
However, visitors should check access arrangements and any applicable venue requirements before travelling, particularly if they have not visited Kuala Lumpur Tower before.
4. Enjoy a Combination of Music and Drone-Related Entertainment
The event announcement mentions musical performances and drone simulation, giving visitors more than one reason to attend.
Music can help create an enjoyable atmosphere, while drone-related entertainment introduces a technological element that may appeal to children, teenagers and adults interested in creative displays.
The Animal World theme adds another point of interest, especially for families who enjoy animal-inspired activities and presentations.
While the exact running order and technical details have not been specified in the announcement, the planned combination of activities makes this a potentially interesting alternative to a conventional evening outing.
Visitors should avoid assuming that every activity will be available throughout the event and should consult the organiser for any programme changes.
5. Make the Most of Your Weekend
Saturday evenings are ideal for spending time with friends and family, but planning something enjoyable does not have to involve a major expense.
Since the main show is scheduled for 9.00 pm, visitors can arrange their day around the event. Some may prefer to have dinner beforehand, while others might plan a relaxed afternoon before heading to Kuala Lumpur Tower in the evening.
You could also use the occasion as part of a wider city outing, provided you allow enough time to reach the venue and account for traffic.
The important thing is to plan realistically. Check your travel arrangements, arrive with enough time to settle in and avoid leaving your journey until the last minute.
Tips for Enjoying the Event
To make your visit smoother, a little preparation can go a long way.
Arrive early. Side activities are scheduled from 8.00 pm, so arriving ahead of the main show gives you more time to explore what is available. As attendance and crowd levels have not been specified, an earlier arrival may also be helpful when looking for a comfortable viewing position.
Check the weather forecast. The event takes place outdoors, so rain or other weather conditions may affect the experience. Bring suitable protection if necessary and check the organiser’s announcements for weather-related updates.
Plan your transportation. Kuala Lumpur can experience busy traffic, particularly during popular evening periods. Decide whether to drive, use a ride-hailing service or take public transport where practical. Check parking availability and access information before setting off.
Bring the essentials. Comfortable clothing, drinking water and any necessary items for children can make an evening outing easier. Follow the venue’s rules on permitted items.
Keep an eye on official updates. The published information confirms the date, location, free admission and advertised activities, but event schedules and arrangements can change. Check the original announcement before travelling.
Be considerate of other visitors. Keep viewing areas accessible, supervise children and follow instructions from event staff. If photography or recording restrictions apply, respect them.
Is This Event Worth Attending?
For anyone searching for free family activities in Kuala Lumpur, Drone Show Theatre: Animal World is worth considering. The event brings together a recognisable city landmark, an animal-themed concept, musical performances and drone simulation, all with free admission.
It may be particularly appealing to families seeking an affordable weekend outing, couples looking for something different to do on a Saturday evening, and groups of friends who enjoy discovering local events.
The lack of an admission fee makes it easier to consider, although visitors should still account for transport and personal expenses. It is also sensible to check the latest programme details rather than relying on assumptions about the show’s exact format.
Most importantly, this event offers a simple reason to step away from the usual weekend routine. Instead of staying home or spending the evening at the same familiar places, visitors can gather with loved ones and experience a public event in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
